Södertälje Syd

Södertälje Syd (Södertälje South) is a major, but not the most centrally located, railway station in Södertälje, Sweden. It is located on top of the 2 km long Igelsta Bridge. Regional and long distance trains for destinations such as Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Copenhagen, Oslo, Linköping and Eskilstuna stop at the station. The local Södertälje–Stockholm commuter train, however, goes from central Södertälje, and that station has by far more passengers than Södertälje Syd.

Igelsta Bridge

The Igelsta Bridge or Igelstabron (Swedish) is a railway bridge in Södertälje, Stockholm County in Sweden. The bridge crosses the Södertälje Canal, and the E4 motorway. The length is 2140 m, and the maximum height is 48 m. It was opened in 1995, and is the longest railway-only bridge in Scandinavia. The Oresund Bridge, the western Great Belt Bridge and the Storstrøm Bridge are longer but have both rail and road. A railway station, Södertälje Syd, is located on the western part of bridge.
