Löfbergs Lila Arena

Löfbergs Lila Arena is an arena in Karlstad, Sweden, situated just above the river delta of Klarälven. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and is the home arena of Färjestad BK. It opened in 2001 following a complete overhaul and major expansion of the previously existing arena. It has a capacity of 8,647 people. It replaced Färjestads Ishall as the home of Färjestad. In 2004 and 2006 Löfbergs Lila Arena hosted a semi-final of Melodifestivalen.

Färjestads Ishall

Färjestads Ishall was an arena in Karlstad, Sweden. It is home arena for the ice hockey team Färjestads BK. It opened in 1967 and held initially 8,000 people during sport events, but the capacity was later reduced to 4,700 when seating became common standard. Löfbergs Lila Arena replaced it as the home of Färjestad.

Karlstad University

Karlstad University is a state university in Karlstad, Sweden. The university, being a former university college (founded 1977) was granted university status in 1999 by the Government of Sweden. Originally it was a branch of the University of Gothenburg. There are about 50 training programmes, 20 programme extensions and 800 courses within humanities, social studies, science, technology, teaching, health care and arts. As of today, it has approximately 12,500 students and 1,200 employees.

Värmlands regemente

Värmlands regemente (Värmland Regiment), designations I 22, I 2 and I 2/Fo 52, was a Swedish Army infantry regiment that traced its origins back to the 16th century. It was disbanded in 2000. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from the province of Värmland, and it was later garrisoned in there.

Tingvalla IP

Tingvalla Idrottsplats, Tingvalla IP, is a stadium in Karlstad, Sweden and is the home ground of the football team Carlstad United and the American football team Carlstad crusaders. It is also used for athletic events and other sports and gatherings. Built in 1919, it has a capacity of 10,000 (of which only 1,100 are seated). The attendance record was set on 24 August 2000, when 10,421 spectators saw Carlstad United play S.S. Lazio.
