Franex

Franex is a village and former municipality in the district of Broye in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It was first recorded in 1242 as Frasnei. The municipality had 84 inhabitants in 1811, which increased to 131 in 1850. It then declined to 115 in 1900, 110 in 1950 and 46 in 1990. In 1992 the municipality was incorporated into the larger, neighboring municipality Murist.

Montborget

Montborget is a village and former municipality in the district of Broye in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It was first recorded in 1314 as Mauborget. The municipality had 98 inhabitants in 1811, which increased to 124 in 1850 and 137 in 1900. It then declined to 104 in 1950 and 79 in 1980. In 1981 the municipality was incorporated into the larger, neighboring municipality Murist.

Tunnel of Arrissoules

The Tunnel of Arissoules is a motorway tunnel in Switzerland, near the village of Arrissoules, and forms part of the A1 motorway from Geneva to St. Margrethen. The tunnel is 3 km long. It lies in western Switzerland and crosses the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud. It was opened around 2001.

Chapelle, Broye

Chapelle is a village and former municipality in the district of Broye in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It was first recorded in 1363 as Cappella. It was named Chapelle-près-Surpierre until 1953, when the name changed to Chapelle. The municipality also contained the villages Coumin-Dessus and Coumin-Dessous. It had 85 inhabitants in 1811, which increased to 129 in 1831. It then decreased to 120 in 1850, 113 in 1900, 117 in 1950 and 64 in 2000.
