Liuqiu, Pingtung
Liouciou Township is a rural township in Pingtung County, Taiwan. It has a population total of 12,956 and an area of 6.8018 square kilometres. The only Township of Pingtung that is not located on the Taiwan mainland, it belongs to Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area. Fishing is the major occupation of the island.

Lamay Island
Lamay Island or Golden Lion Island is an island belonging to the Republic of China and administered as Liuqiu Township of Pingtung County. It has an area of 6.8 km² and lies 15 km (8 nautical miles) west of Tungkang and it is Taiwan's only large coral island. The eight villages that currently exist on the island are populated by approximately 13,000 residents with 10 shared surnames. There are no rivers on the island, and farming is very difficult.

Lamey Island Massacre
The Lamey Island Massacre was the slaughter of aboriginal inhabitants of Hsiao Liuchiu island (then known as Lamey, Lamay or Gouden Leeuwseylant) off the coast of Taiwan by Dutch soldiers in 1636. The killings were part of a campaign in retaliation for the murder of shipwrecked Dutch sailors in two separate incidents in 1622 and 1631 by natives of the island.

Sepia filibrachia
Sepia filibrachia is a species of cuttlefish native to the South China Sea. Its natural range covers the waters off Taiwan, Haikou on Hainan Island, and Guryanova in the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam. It lives at depths of 34 to 95 m. Females are on average slightly larger than males. They grow to 70 mm and 62 mm in mantle length, respectively. The type specimen was collected off Ling Yuan, Kaohsiung, Taiwan . S. filibrachia is of commercial interest to fisheries and is marketed in Taiwan.

Donggang, Pingtung
Donggang or Tungkang is an urban township in west-central Pingtung County, Taiwan. Located on Taiwan's western coastline, along the Taiwan Strait, it has one of Taiwan's largest fishing harbors. The town's primary economic activities are fishing and agriculture. Dapeng Bay with its national scenic area is just south of Donggang. The town also has East Haven Palace of Eastern Prosperity, which worships "Royal Lord Wen" (Chinese: 溫王爺; pinyin: Wēn wángyé.
