Kigamboni

Kigamboni is an administrative ward in the Temeke district of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. According to the 2002 census, the ward has a total population of 36,701. Due to the expansion of economic activities, Dar Es Salaam is expanding faster. In the coming few years, it is expected to expand even more and economic activities will increase. Especially, Kigamboni, the site area has a strong presence with large tracks of good, unexploited land.

Kigamboni Bridge

Kigamboni Bridge is a bridge currently under construction in Tanzania. It will connect the Dar es Salaam central business district to the Kigamboni ward across the Kurasini creek. Construction work began in February 2012 and is expected to complete in 36 months. At present, the Kivukoni ferry links the two places.

Bank of Tanzania

The Bank of Tanzania (Swahili: Benki Kuu ya Tanzania) is the central bank of the United Republic of Tanzania. It is responsible for issuing the national currency, the Tanzanian shilling. The bank was established under the Bank of Tanzania Act 1965. However, in 1995, the government decided that the central bank had too many responsibilities, and was thus hindering its other objectives.

National Museum of Tanzania

The National Museum of Tanzania is a consortium of five Tanzanian museums whose purpose is to preserve and show exhibits about the history and natural environment of Tanzania. The consortium developed from the National Museum of Dar es Salaam, established in 1934 by Tanganyika governor Harold MacMichael. Four more museums later joined the consortium, namely the Village Museum in Dar es Salaam, the National History Museum and the Arusha Declaration Museum in Arusha, and the Mwalimu Julius K.
