Northern Thailand
Northern Thailand is geographically characterised by multiple mountain ranges, which continue from the Shan Hills in bordering Myanmar and Laos, and the river valleys which cut through them. 700th Anniversary Stadium
The 700th Anniversary Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chiang Mai, Thailand, built to host the 1995 Southeast Asian Games and to commemorate the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai's establishment at the same time. It was also used for the 1998 Asian Games. Thai Division 1 League side Chiangmai F.C. returned to the stadium for the 2009 season having used a municipal stadium elsewhere in the city in recent years.
