Amata Spring Country Club

The Amata Spring Country Club is a private golf and country club near to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It hosts two high profile golf tournaments which were introduced in 2006. The Royal Trophy is a team competition between Europe and Asia, and the Honda LPGA Thailand is the first LPGA Tour event in Thailand. These are currently the two richest golf events held in Thailand. Chonburi (city)

Chonburi is the capital of Chonburi Province and Mueang Chonburi District in Thailand. It is located about 100km east of Bangkok, on the coast to the Gulf of Thailand. The name means city of water. Chon Buri, along with other areas along the coast to Pattaya, forms a conurbation known as the Pattaya-Chonburi Metropolitan Area. Chonburi has had town status since 1935.

Chonburi Province

Chonburi is a province (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi and Rayong. To the west is the Gulf of Thailand. The eastern seaboard is heavily industrialized and underpinned by shipping, transportation, tourism, and manufacturing industries, and second to only Bangkok in economic output.

Wat Hong

Wat Sothornwararamworaviharn or Wat Hong is the oldest temple in Chachoengsao Province, Thailand. The temple is located within the town Chachoengsao on the banks of the Bang Pakong River. The temple houses a Buddha statue named Phra Phutthasothon or Luang Pho Sothon, 1.65 m wide and 1.48 m high. The statue is highly revered locally and the target of pilgrimage. A new building housing this statue was inaugurated in 2006.
