Tortum Waterfall
Tortum Waterfall is one of the most remarkable natural treasures of Turkey next to Tortum Lake located in Tortum district, 100 km north of Erzurum in Eastern Anatolia Region. The lake, 8 km long and 1 km wide, was formed as the result of a great landslide, which blocked the valley though which the Tortum River flowed. At the same time, the water sought a new outlet over a fault with a drop of 48 m .

Khakhuli Monastery
Khakhuli Monastery was a Georgian Orthodox monastery in historical Medieval Georgian Kingdom of Tao, at the east bank of Kakhulistskali river, in one of the gorges of Tortumistskali river. The main church is now used as a mosque. Khakhuli was a very important centre of literature and Georgian culture and many Georgian scholars and theologians studied and worked in Khakhuli including Ioane Khakhuleli, Davit Tbileli, and Giorgi Mtatsmindeli.
