Gelinkaya

Gelinkaya (former Keverhavar) is a town in Midyat district of Mardin Province, Turkey. The town is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:37|25|N|41|16|E||| | |name= }} in Southeastern Anatolia. Turkish state highway D.380 is to the north and Midyat is to the east of the town. The distance to Midyat is about 10 kilometres . The population of Gelinkaya is 5203 as of 2011. The area around Gelinkaya was frequently plundered by the Assyrians in the ancient ages.

Tur Abdin

Tur Abdin is a hilly region of south east Turkey incorporating the eastern half of Mardin Province, and Şırnak Province west of the Tigris, on the border with Syria. The name 'Tur Abdin' is from the Syriac language meaning 'mountain of the servants (of God)'. Tur Abdin is of great importance to Syriac Orthodox Christians, for whom the region used to be a monastic and cultural heartland.

Inwardo or Gülgöze (Syriac: ܥܝܢܘܪܕܐ - Iwardo or Inwardo, Ayinwarda, Ainwardo) – is an Assyrian/Syriac village that lies very high, east of the city Midyat, in the Mardin Province of Turkey, and can be reached from Midyat on foot in 2 hours.
