Akçaabat

Akçaabat is a town and district of Trabzon Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey. It is located on the east of the city of Trabzon. It covers an area of 385 km² and the elevation is 10 m. The town has an estimated population of 48,315 (2007). Akcaabat is a coastal town famous for its local soccer team Akcaabat Sebatspor, its traditional dish Akçaabat köfte (a variant of kofta) and its unique dance of Akcaabat Horonu.

Söğütlü Athletics Stadium

Söğütlü Athletics Stadium (Turkish: Söğütlü Atletizm Sahası) is a sports venue for athletics competitions in track and field located in Trabzon, Turkey. It was built 2007 at Söğütlü neighborhood of Akçaabat town in Trabzon Province as a stadium with movable seating to host the 1st Black Sea Games. In 2011, the venue's stands were replaced by concrete ones with a seating capacity of 7,200, and floodlights were installed for the 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival.
