Tunceli Province

The Tunceli Province is a majority Kurdish Alevi province, with a minority Sunni Turkish population in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. The province was named Dersim Province (Dersim vilayeti), then demoted district (Dersim kazası) and incorporated into Elâzığ Province in 1926. Finally it was changed to Tunceli Province on January 4, 1936. with the "Law on Administration of the Tunceli Province" (Tunceli Vilayetinin İdaresi Hakkında Kanun), no. 2884 of 25 December 1935.

Burmageçit

Burmageçit (former Şihso) is a village in the Tunceli central district of Tunceli Province, Turkey. The population of Burmageçit is 611 as of 2011.

Darıkent

Darıpınar (former Muhundu) is a small town in Mazgirt district of Tunceli Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:38|58|N|39|48|E||| | |name= }} it is sitıated at the east of the province. The distance to Mazgirt is 21 kilometres and to Tunceli is 62 kilometres . The population of Darıkent is 405 as of 2011. In 1989 the settlement was declared a seat of township. But due to migrations to cities, the population has been reduced.
