Endebess

Endebess is both an administrative division and a small town that houses the headquarters for the division in Trans-Nzoia District, Rift Valley Province, Kenya. The town is located 17 kilometers west of Kitale, the location of the district headquarters. Endebess is one of the towns nearest to Mount Elgon, and features accommodation for those interested in hiking in the national park; the town is 4 kilometers from the park's Chorlim Gate.

Trans-Nzoia District

The Trans-Nzoia District is an administrative district of Rift Valley Province, Kenya, located between the Nzoia River and Mount Elgon with its centre at the town of Kitale. Historically the area has been inhabited by the Kalenjin people. After independence many of the farms vacated by white settlers were bought by individuals from other ethnic groups in Kenya.
