Beaudesert (house)

Beaudesert was an estate and stately home on the southern edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. It was one of the family seats of the Paget family, the Marquesses of Anglesey. The estate was obtained by William Paget, 1st Baron Paget in 1546; the family's other main seat is at Plas Newydd. The estate was broken up by the 6th Marquess of Anglesey due to financial difficulties; as a result the furniture was sold off and the fabric of the hall and stables went to auction.

Rugeley Trent Valley railway station

Rugeley Trent Valley is a railway station located on the outskirts of Rugeley in Staffordshire, England. It is one of two stations in Rugeley, the other being Rugeley Town. London Midland operates the station, and all trains serving it; a passenger-operated self-service ticket machine has been placed at the station entrance (which is on the southbound platform). It is a minor station on the Trent Valley section of the West Coast Main Line.

Castle Ring

Castle Ring is an Iron Age hill fort, situated high up on the southern edge of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, in the village of Cannock Wood, England. Castle Ring was thought to have been occupied around AD 50, by the Celtic Cornovii tribe. Apart from the perimeter earthworks, little remains visible.

Cannock Wood

Cannock Wood is a village and civil parish in the Cannock Chase District of Staffordshire, England. Situated near Cannock and Lichfield and north of Burntwood. It is approximately 25 miles north of Birmingham and 14 miles north-east of Wolverhampton. Cannock Wood has a population of 1,052. Cannock Wood makes up part of Cannock Chase which is a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Elmhurst, Staffordshire

Elmhurst is a small village and civil parish within Lichfield District, in Staffordshire, England. It is located approximately 1.5 miles north of Lichfield. The village is rural in nature consisting of a few farms and a small amount of private houses. It was once the site of Elmhurst Hall a large country residence which once hosted King Edward VII when he visited Lichfield for the centenary of the Staffordshire Yeomanry in 1894.
