Ouston, County Durham

Ouston is a village in County Durham, approximately 5 miles to the south-west of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne in the north-east of England. The A194 road is a road in Tyne and Wear, England. It runs northeast from its start at junction 65 of the A1/A1(M) near Washington, and the first 3 miles are motorway standard, designated the A194(M). There are intermediate junctions with the A182 and the A195 before the motorway section ends at the A184 junction. The A194 continues as a trunk road to its next major junction, the A19 which provides access to the Tyne Tunnel, Sunderland and Teesside.

Pelton, County Durham

Pelton is a village in County Durham, in England. It is located to the northwest of Chester-le-Street. The village of West Pelton is located some distance to the west; separated from it by a few villages and closer to Stanley than to central Chester-le-Street. Pelton has two public houses, one RAOB club and a small range of convenience stores, including a greengrocers, three general stores, a Post Office, chemist, doctors surgery, dentist, some take-away food outlets, and some hair salons.

Chester-le-Street Rural District

Chester-le-Street was a rural district in County Durham, England from 1894 to 1974. http://www. visionofbritain. org. uk/relationships. jsp?u_id=10136854&c_id=10001043 It surrounded the urban district of Chester-le-Street. The district was split in 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, with the bulk going to the current Chester-le-Street district.
