Brent Tor

Brent Tor is a tor on the western edge of Dartmoor, approximately five miles (8 km) north of Tavistock, rising to 1100 ft (330m) above sea level. The Tor is surmounted by the Church of St Michael, the parish church of the village of Brentor, which lies below the Tor.

Peter Tavy

Peter Tavy is a village 3 miles along the A386, North-East of Tavistock, Devon, England; it is named after the River Tavy. St Peter's Parish Church is largely built of granite and has a buttressed west tower. Near Peter Tavy Moor is the grave of George Stephens (d. 1763) marked by a granite post. It is said he died after losing the prospect of marriage to Mary Bray, a farmer's daughter.
