Morwellham Quay

Morwellham Quay is a historic river port in Devon, England that developed to support the local mines. The port had its peak in the Victorian era and is now run as a tourist attraction and museum. It is the terminus of the Tavistock Canal, and has its own copper mine. The open air museum includes the restored 19th century village, the docks and quays, a restored ship, the George and Charlotte copper mine which is toured by a small train, a Victorian farm and a nature reserve with trails.

Cotehele

Cotehele,, is a mediaeval/Tudor house in the parish of Calstock, Cornwall, England, UK. Probably originating circa 1300, the main phases of building appear to have been by Sir Richard Edgcumbe from 1485–89 and his son, Sir Piers Edgcumbe, from 1489-1520. http://www. imagesofengland. org. uk/Details/Default. aspx?id=60778 This house is one of the least altered of the Tudor houses in the United Kingdom. The outbuildings include a stone dovecote in a remarkable state of preservation.

River Tavy

The Tavy is a river on Dartmoor, Devon, England. The name derives from the Brythonic root "Taff", the original meaning of which has now been lost. It has given its name to the town of Tavistock and the villages of Mary Tavy and Peter Tavy. It is a tributary of the River Tamar and has as its own tributaries: Collybrooke River Burn River Wallabrooke River Lumburn River Walkham At Tavistock it feeds a canal running to Morwellham Quay.

Lopwell

Lopwell is a site of natural beauty situated at the upper tidal mark on the River Tavy, 3 miles from north Plymouth and 7 miles from Tavistock, Devon, England. Lopwell is a Local Nature Reserve consisting of several different habitats including mudflats, freshwater marsh, grassland, wildflower meadow, scrub-grassland and saltmarsh. The area forms part of the Tamar–Tavy Estuary Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and has a resident Grey seal. it is illegal to fish here

Maristow House

Maristow House is located in Devon, England, just north of Plymouth, on the River Tavy. It was built circa 1560 and rebuilt in the mid-18th century and further remodelled in the early 20th century. It was the residence of the Lopes family: they had links with the Great Western Railway. The house was ruined by fire after the Second World War, but was restored and converted into apartments in the late 1990s by Kit Martin.
