Breich
Breich is a small village lying in the western part of West Lothian in Scotland. It lies on the A71, the Edinburgh to Ayrshire road, which also goes to the large town of Livingston 7 miles to the east. It is situated at the junction of the A706, to Lanark, Bathgate and Linlithgow. The village consists mainly of a single row of houses by the roadside (& some new builds behind the single row) and has one pub. It also has a Roadside Snack Bar called Big T's at the Breich Cross layby.

Burngrange mining disaster
Burngrange is an area of the Scottish village West Calder. Situated at the far west of the village it mainly consists of housing constructed for the areas mining industry in the early 20th century. On 10 January 1947, Burngrange was witness to its worst underground mining disaster, in which 15 miners perished. Burngrange Shale Mine was situated 16 miles south-west of Edinburgh in the Parish of West Calder in the County of Midlothian. It was owned by Young's Paraffin Light & Mineral Oil Co.

Blackburn House, West Lothian
Blackburn House is a category A-listed Georgian house, situated just outside of Blackburn and Seafield in West Lothian, Scotland. Blackburn House was built in the late 18th century by George Moncrieff. The building originally acted as a gateway to Blackburn, the town which Moncrieff founded, after making his money running plantations in the West Indies. The house comprises a central Palladian manor house, with substantial east and west pavilions.

Seafield is a small village in West Lothian, Scotland. Seafield lies 1+⁄4 miles east of Blackburn and 2 miles southeast of Bathgate. The village lies between the River Almond to the south and the M8 motorway to the north. Seafield has many good community amenities such as a primary school, community centre, shop, hotel, bowling club and annual Gala day. It is also home to Seafield & District Pipe Band, which has strong ties to the successful solo piper Chris Armstrong.
