Knowle, Shropshire

Knowle is a small village in Shropshire, England. It lies largely in the civil parish of Nash. It is 0.7 miles south of the larger village of Cleehill (which has a primary school, two pubs and a bakery) on the B4214 road to Tenbury Wells. The football club "Clee Hill United" play their home games at Knowle Sports Ground, the highest venue in the Mercian Regional Football League at an elevation of 285-290m.

Nash, South Shropshire

Nash is small village and civil parish located in Shropshire, England, situated south west of Ludlow and north of Tenbury Wells. The parish had a population of 305 at the 2001 census. The civil parish includes the small village of Knowle.

A4117 road

The A4117 is a major road in England. It branches from the A456 2.2 miles west of Bewdley, and runs westward to Ludlow via Cleobury Mortimer and Cleehill. The pass over Titterstone Clee Hill reaches an altitude of 381 metres, making the A4117 Shropshire's highest A-road (the highest classified road is the B4368 at Anchor). Because of its situation and altitude, the A4117 is often affected by snow in winter.

Cleehill is a village in Shropshire, England. It is sometimes written as Clee Hill Village (including the road sign entering the village) to avoid confusion. It lies in the civil parish of Caynham. It lies on the slope of Titterstone Clee Hill and, lying between 340 metres and 380 metres metres above sea level, it is one of the highest settlements in the county.

Knowbury

Knowbury is a village near Ludlow in Shropshire, England. It is located in the civil parish of Caynham. It is near to Cleehill and had a part-time Post Office - now closed. There were two adjacent Public Houses in the village, on Hope Bagot Lane - the Penny Black, and the Bennett's End. The Penny Black is now closed.
