Ludlow railway station
Ludlow railway station serves the town of Ludlow in Shropshire, England, on the Welsh Marches Line between Shrewsbury and Hereford. Trains are operated by Arriva Trains Wales. Opened on 21 April 1852 on the first section of the Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway, trains travelling to or from the south of the station pass through the short Ludlow Tunnel. The station is 44 km (27½ miles) south of Shrewsbury railway station.

Ludlow Rural District
Ludlow was a rural district in Shropshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 from the Ludlow rural sanitary district. It was enlarged in 1934 under a County Review Order by taking in the disbanded Burford Rural District and parts of the Church Stretton Rural District and Cleobury Mortimer Rural District. Church Stretton, formerly an urban district was added to the district in 1966, and it included the borough of Ludlow from 1967.
