Dartford railway station

Dartford railway station serves the town of Dartford in Kent, England. All train services from the station are operated by Southeastern, which also manages the station. Dartford is a major interchange station in the North Kent region of the Southeastern network. Ticket barriers control access to the platforms. The station is the nodal point for three lines from London: the North Kent Line, via Woolwich Arsenal the Bexleyheath Line, the Dartford Loop Line via Sidcup.

The Mick Jagger Centre

The Mick Jagger Centre is performing arts venue in Dartford, England. It is on the site of Dartford Grammar School; however, it is also open to the local community. The Centre is named after the Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, who was a pupil at the school. It has two main stages and holds theatre workshops in the summer.

Dartford Brent

Dartford Brent was an extensive area of common land on the outskirts of Dartford in Kent. Historically, it was the scene of a confrontation between King Henry VI and Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York in 1452; and in 1555 thousands of spectators were to witness the burning to death at the stake of Christopher Ward, a Dartford linen weaver, executed for his Protestant faith.

North West Kent College

North West Kent College is a college of Further and Higher Education. It merged with the National Sea Training School (NSTC) in the nineties. The college is located over four sites. The two main campuses are: Oakfield Lane, Dartford is the location of the largest campus and houses the main administration and the greatest number of students including most of the college's Higher Education work.

Crayford Urban District

Crayford was a local government district in north west Kent from 1920 to 1965 around the town of Crayford. As well as Crayford, it included Barnehurst, Barnes Cray and Slade Green. It was created an urban district in 1920 from part of Dartford Rural District. In 1965 it was abolished by the London Government Act 1963 and its former area transferred to Greater London from Kent. Its former area was combined with that of other districts to form the present-day London Borough of Bexley.
