King's Way

King's Way or the Allan King Way is a 45 mile long-distance footpath in Hampshire, England. This footpath was created by the Hampshire Area of the Ramblers' Association as a memorial to the late Allan King a former Publicity Officer who was partly responsible for the formation of a number of Groups in Hampshire. It runs from Portchester to Winchester. The footpath is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture.

Botley, Hampshire

Botley is a historic village in Hampshire, England that obtained a charter for a market from Henry III in 1267. The area has been settled since at least the 10th century. Between 1806 and 1820 it was the home of the famous journalist and radical politician William Cobbett, who described the village as the most delightful in the world. There is a memorial stone to William Cobbett in the village square.

Strawberry Trail

The Strawberry Trail is an 15 mile footpath through Hampshire, England The trail is part linear and part circular. The linear section connects Botley to Bursledon railway station via Manor Farm Country Park. The circular section is usually done in a clockwise direction. From Bursledon railway station the trail goes south closely following the River Hamble and through Hamble until it meets Southampton Water. The trail then turns right and follows the shoreline into Royal Victoria Country Park.
