Torr Works
Torr Works quarry, grid reference ST695446 is a limestone quarry at East Cranmore, near Shepton Mallet on the Mendip Hills, Somerset, England. It is also known as Merehead Quarry. The site covers an area of some 200 hectares, including 60 hectares which have been landscaped to blend with the surrounding countryside. It has been operated by Aggregate Industries since their take over of Foster Yeoman in 2006.

The quarry exhibits pale to dark grey well-bedded Carboniferous Limestone, about 350-320 million years old, dipping steeply and consistently northwards and numerous "fist-sized" calcite inclusions within the limestones both solid and hollow with internal calcite crystal growth.

Shatter Cave
Shatter Cave is a cave in Fairy Cave Quarry, near Stoke St Michael in the limestone of the Mendip Hills, in Somerset, England. It falls within the St. Dunstan's Well Catchment Site of Special Scientific Interest. The name commemorates the damage, done by blasting in the quarry, to some of the decoration within the cave.

Fairy Cave Quarry
Fairy Cave Quarry is between Stoke St Michael and Oakhill in the limestone of the Mendip Hills, in Somerset, England. Quarrying was first started on the site in the early 1920s. In 1963 the quarry was acquired by Hobbs (Quarries) Ltd. , and production on a much larger scale began. Excavations cut back into the hillside above St Dunstan's Well Rising, a Bristol Water abstraction point (long since abandoned), various caves were intercepted. The quarry ceased production in 1977.

Colemans Quarry, grid reference ST726452 is a limestone quarry at Holwell, near Nunney on the Mendip Hills, Somerset, England. The Colemans Quarry complex comprises four pits separated by three roads (including the A361) The quarry exhibits pale to dark grey Black Rock, Vallis and Clifton Down Groups of Carboniferous Limestone with overlying buff-coloured Jurassic oolitic limestone forming an angular unconformity.
