Fontwell Park Racecourse

Fontwell Park Racecourse is a horse racing course located in the village of Fontwell in West Sussex, England, owned by Northern Racing. It features a figure-of-eight chase course and an oval hurdles course. It was the course where Queen Elizabeth II, then Princess Elizabeth, had her first winner as an owner when Monaveen won the Chichester Handicap Chase there in October 1949.

Barnham railway station

Barnham railway station is in West Sussex, England, serving the village of Barnham, around 5 miles north of Bognor Regis. It is located on the West Coastway Line which runs between Brighton and Southampton. The station and the majority of trains serving it are operated by Southern. The other operator is First Great Western who run limited services to the West Country. RAF Tangmere

RAF Tangmere was a Royal Air Force station famous for its role in the Battle of Britain, located at Tangmere village about 3 miles (5 km) east of Chichester in West Sussex, England. American RAF pilot Billy Fiske died at Tangmere and was the first American aviator to die during World War II. Famous World War II ace Douglas Bader was a Wing Commander at Tangmere in 1941.
