Finsbury Park

Finsbury Park is a 46 hectares public park in the London Borough of Haringey. Officially part of the London area of Harringay, it is also adjacent to Stroud Green, the Finsbury Park district and Manor House. It was one of the first of the great London parks laid out in the Victorian era.

Stroud Green railway station

Stroud Green railway station is a former station in the Stroud Green area of north London. It was located between Finsbury Park station and Crouch End station on the bridge over Stapleton Hall Road. The station had platforms (now demolished) cantilevered from the bridge structure and a large station building at ground level.

North London Central Mosque

North London Central Mosque in Finsbury Park, London, was built in the 1990s to serve the large Muslim population in the area. It has a capacity of 1,800 people. Until 2005 it was known as Finsbury Park Mosque. The mosque was riven with leadership disputes in the 1990s, allowing extremist Islamist preachers (many of whom were refugees from the Algerian Civil War) to take it over.

Brownswood (ward)

Brownswood is a ward in the London Borough of Hackney and forms part of the Hackney North and Stoke Newington constituency. The ward returns three councillors to the Borough Council holding an election every four years. At the previous election on 6 May 2010 Brian Bell, Feryat Demirci, and Oli de Botton; all Labour Party candidates, were returned. The turnout was 60%, with 4,637 votes cast. Brownswood ward has a total population of 11,315.
