Kingsbridge Estuary

The Kingsbridge Estuary (also known as the 'Salcombe Estuary') is located in the South Hams area of Devon, England, running from Kingsbridge in the north to its mouth at the English Channel near Salcombe. The estuary is popular with sailors and holiday makers and it lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Kingsbridge Estuary is an extreme example of a ria as it is disproportionate to the size of the small streams which flow into it.

Loddiswell railway station

Loddiswell railway station is a classic William Clarke station on the Kingsbridge branch of the GWR. Opened in December 1893 the stone built station was downgraded to a halt, unstaffed, and closed to freight in 1961. Despite a great deal of local opposition station was closed for freight and passengers on 16 September 1963, and is now a private dwelling. Frogmore, Devon

Frogmore is a village in the civil parish of Frogmore and Sherford in the South Hams district of the county of Devon, England. The village is located at the head of Frogmore Creek, an arm of the Kingsbridge Estuary. It was once a small and thriving port, but is now more popular with tourists and horses. A regatta is held evey year in August; there is a village hall, one pub and a traditional bakery.
