Salcombe Castle

Salcombe Castle or Fort Charles is a ruined fortification just off the beach of North Sands in Salcombe, Devon, England, within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is located on a rocky outcrop which is easily reached on foot at low tide. The castle is thought to have been constructed originally during the reign of Henry VIII, to defend the Kingsbridge estuary against French and Spanish pirates.

Overbeck's

Overbeck's Museum and Garden is an Edwardian house and 2.75 hectare (7 acre) garden situated in Sharpitor, Salcombe, Devon, England. It is named after its last private owner Otto Christop Joseph Gerhardt Ludwig Overbeck (1860–1937). The house is now divided between museum and YHA youth hostel. The museum houses displays of some of Overbeck's inventions and collections of stuffed animals, and exhibitions of model sailing ships and various nautical and shipbuilding tools and effects.

South Milton Ley

South Milton Ley is a 162,000 square metres wetland in the South Hams, Devon, England. It was notified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1976. Kingsbridge Estuary

The Kingsbridge Estuary (also known as the 'Salcombe Estuary') is located in the South Hams area of Devon, England, running from Kingsbridge in the north to its mouth at the English Channel near Salcombe. The estuary is popular with sailors and holiday makers and it lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Kingsbridge Estuary is an extreme example of a ria as it is disproportionate to the size of the small streams which flow into it.

Bolt Tail

Bolt Tail is a headland in Devon, England. It is located immediately to the southwest of Hope Cove in the South Hams district, at grid reference SX670397. Bolt Tail is the site of an Iron Age promontory fort, although little evidence now remains of this structure, it occupied a classic promontory defended from inland by a linear earthwork at some 60 metres above sea level.
