Marks Tey is a railway station serving the village of Marks Tey in Essex, England. The station is located on the Great Eastern Main Line and is also a junction for the Sudbury Branch Line. The station is served by Greater Anglia. Marks Tey had a speed restriction of 70 mph heading towards London Liverpool Street, but had this restriction removed during the upgrading process of the GEML.

RAF Birch

Royal Air Force Station Birch or more simply RAF Birch is a former Royal Air Force station in Essex, England. The airfield is located 2 mi northeast of Tiptree; about 43 mi northeast of London Opened in 1942 it was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces. During the war, it was used primarily as a reserve transport airfield. It was closed after the war, in late 1945. Today, the remains of the airfield are located on private property and used as agricultural fields.

Colchester Zoo

Colchester Zoo is a zoological garden situated in Colchester, England. The zoo opened in 1963 and had 747,495 visitors in 2009 and 801,643 in 2011. It is home to many collections of rare and endangered species, big cats, primates and many other animals. Colchester Zoo is supported by Action for the Wild, which assists conservation projects worldwide through the both financial and technical assistance. Coggeshall Abbey
