Collingham railway station

Collingham Railway Station is located in the village of Collingham, Nottinghamshire, England, situated on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line, owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Trains (EMT) Train Operating Company (TOC) who provide all services. Collingham is a village and civil parish in Nottinghamshire, England. Collingham is located on the banks of the River Trent on the A1133 main road, just off the A46. It is approximately 6 miles from Newark-on-Trent, 15 miles from the city of Lincoln, and 28 miles from the city of Nottingham.

Newark Rural District

Newark was a rural district in Nottinghamshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was formed by the Local Government Act 1894 from the Newark rural sanitary district. The district was long and thin, being far more distance from the far north to the far south than it was lengthwise, as much of the Newark RSD had been in Lincolnshire, and went to form the Claypole Rural District.

RAF Swinderby

Royal Air Force Swinderby or more simply RAF Swinderby was a Royal Air Force station airfield opened in 1940, one of the last of the stations completed under the RAF's expansion plans started in the 1930s. It was built near the village of Swinderby, Lincolnshire just off the south east side of the A46 between Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire and Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.
