Bole, Nottinghamshire

Bole is a village and civil parish in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire, England. It is close by the River Trent, on the eastern side of which is Gainsborough in Lincolnshire. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 140. The parish church of St Martin was extensively rebuilt in 1866 by James Fowler. There was a windmill located close to the Gainsborough road.

North Leverton with Habblesthorpe

North Leverton with Habblesthorpe is a village and civil parish in the English county of Nottinghamshire. Unlike other civil parishes with a name of the form "X with Y", North Leverton with Habblesthorpe is shown as such on Ordnance Survey maps and thus has the longest name of a village in England and is the second longest in Europe, behind a Welsh village. The village has a working windmill which was built in 1813 and is a grade II* listed building.

East Retford Rural District

East Retford was a rural district in Nottinghamshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from East Retford rural sanitary district. It entirely surrounded Retford, which was a municipal borough itself. In 1935 it took in the area of the Misterton Rural District under a County Review Order. The district survived until 1974 when it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972.
