Willingham House

Willingham House was a country house in Lincolnshire, England. It was built around 1790 for Ayscough Boucherett and is attributed to the architect Robert Mitchell (a similar building design can be seen in the engraving Selwood Park, in the County of Berkshire, the Seat of James Sibbald Esqr - designed 1788). The Boucherett family were regularly painted by Sir Thomas Lawrence, P.R.A.

Market Rasen Racecourse

Market Rasen Racecourse is a National Hunt racecourse in the town of Market Rasen, in Lincolnshire, England. The course is a right-handed oval with a circumference of around one-and-a-quarter miles. Although National Hunt racing is traditionally a winter sport, Market Rasen stages a year-round programme of racing. Its most high-profile fixture is the Summer Plate meeting, normally staged on the third Saturday in July.

Theddlethorpe

Theddlethorpe comprises two close villages and civil parishes, Theddlethorpe St Helen, and Theddlethorpe All Saints, in the East Lindsey district of the county of Lincolnshire, England. These two villages have operated as one entity for many years. They are situated approximately 4 miles north of Mablethorpe and on the coast of the North Sea. The National Grid plc owned Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal processes natural gas extracted from beneath the North Sea for use in the UK.

2008 Lincolnshire earthquake

The 2008 Lincolnshire earthquake struck Lincolnshire, in the United Kingdom, on 27 February 2008 at 00:56:47.8s GMT. According to the British Geological Survey, the quake registered a reading of 5.2 on the Richter scale with the epicentre 2.5 miles (4 km) north of Market Rasen and 15 miles (24 km) south-west of Grimsby.
