Northorpe railway station was a railway station in Northorpe, Lincolnshire, England. Although the station is now closed, the signal box here remains in use to supervise a level crossing and passing loop on the single track section of the route between Gainsborough Central and Kirton Lindsey. RAF Blyton

RAF Blyton is a former Royal Air Force airfield in located 4.8 miles north east of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and 9.6 miles of south Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It was built in 1942 and was heavily used during World War II, but it was used little after the early stages of the Cold War.

RAF Kirton in Lindsey

Royal Air Force Kirton in Lindsey or more simply RAF Kirton in Lindsey is a Royal Air Force airfield 15 miles north of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. On 25 March 2013 it was announced to dispose of the airfield and technical facilities with only accommodation remaining. The airfield used to host No. 1 Air Control Centre (1ACC), the RAF’s only deployable ground-based early warning and air control radar unit, which was parented by RAF Scampton.
