Skendleby Priory
Skendleby Priory was a priory in the village of Skendleby, Lincolnshire, England. The believed remains of St James Chapel, Skendleby Priory, were uncovered during archaeological investigations and excavations in 2005. It was a small cell to Bardney Abbey built by Walter de Gant, and recorded by Bede in the seventh century. Bardney Abbey was founded no later than 697, but destroyed by a Danish raid in 869.

Spilsby Rural District
Spilsby was a rural district in Lincolnshire, parts of Lindsey from 1894 to 1974. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 from the Spilsby rural sanitary district. Due to growth in other areas, it was reduced three times: in 1896 when Alford was constituted an urban district; in 1925 when the civil parish of Sutton in the Marsh became part of Mablethorpe and Sutton urban district; and in 1926, when the neighbouring Skegness Urban District was extended.

Ulceby with Fordington
Ulceby with Fordington is a civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. Also known as Ulceby by Alford and Ulceby cum Fordington, the principal settlements are Ulceby, a village and Fordington, a small hamlet which was once a Roman Camp. From 1894 to 1974 this parish was part of Spilsby Rural District. The parish is around 3.5 miles southwest from the market town of Alford, Lincolnshire and 5 miles east of Spilsby.

Chapel at Raithby Hall
The small Methodist chapel at Raithby by Spilsby is the oldest Methodist chapel in Lincolnshire, and one of the oldest in England. It is one of the few surviving chapels that was opened by John Wesley, the founding father of Methodism, and is still in use today. The chapel is a Grade I listed building and stands above the former stables at Raithby Hall.
