Sugar Loaf, sometimes called The Sugar Loaf (Welsh: Mynydd Pen-y-Fal or Y Fâl), is a mountain situated 2 miles north-west of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is the southernmost of the summit peaks of the Black Mountains, with a height of 1,955 feet (596 metres).

The Skirrid Mountain Inn

The Skirrid Mountain Inn http://www. geograph. org. uk/photo/216735 is a public house in the small village of Llanfihangel Crucorney, just a few miles north of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales. Perhaps the oldest pub in Wales, listed in chronicles from 1100. Owain Glyndŵr is said to have rallied his forces in the cobbled courtyard in the early 15th century before raiding nearby settlements sympathetic to the English king, Henry IV.

Crug Hywel

Crug Hywel is a flat-topped hill at the southern edge of the Black Mountains in south-east Wales. It rises to 451 m above sea level, from the southern flank of Pen Cerrig-calch (701 m), and overlooks the town of Crickhowell, to which it gives its name. The summit of the hill is entirely taken up by an Iron Age hill fort, with a clearly visible earth and stone ditch and rampart.
