Harling Road railway station is a rural railway station serving the village of East Harling in Norfolk. It is served by local services operated by East Midlands Trains and Greater Anglia on the Breckland Line 22+⁄4 miles west of Norwich to Peterborough and Cambridge.

Roudham Junction railway station

Roudham Junction railway station was a station in Norfolk, England. It was located in Roudham, where the Main Line between Norwich and Thetford intercepted the branch line from Swaffham. It was first opened in 1869, but remote and poorly used, it was slowly downgraded. Main line trains no longer stopped there after 1920, and it officially closed to passengers in 1932.

Battle of Ringmere

Norse sagas recorded a battle at Hringmaraheior; Old English Hringmere-hūō, modern name Ringmere Heath. The sack of Thetford occurred in 1004. Sigvat records the victory of King Ethelred, allied with Saint Olaf, over the Danes under Sweyn Forkbeard during the latters campaigns in England. The Battle site was located in lands under the control of Ulfketel, Thane of East Anglia, at a site once thought to be near Wretham, but now thought to be at Rymer in Suffolk.
