Meir KA F.C. was a football (soccer) club based in Stoke-on-Trent, England, established in 1972. Originally formed as the Sunday league team of the King's Arms pub in the Meir district, the club was later based in the neighbouring area of Meir Heath. Lightwood
Lightwood is a suburb of Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. It is located to the south of Longton, and Lightwood Road runs from here to Rough Close. The area gives its name to The Lightwood Hoard, a substantial collection of Roman coins discovered buried in the garden of a house on Lightwood Road in 1960. Though containing mostly private housing, the area also boasts a pub and a golf driving range, as well as a Methodist chapel constructed in 1816 and now a Grade 2 listed building.

Barlaston Hall
Barlaston Hall is an English Palladian country house in the village of Barlaston in Staffordshire, overlooking the valley of the River Trent 5 miles south of Stoke-on-Trent. It was bought by the Wedgwood pottery company in 1931, but disrepair and subsidence due to coal mining brought the hall close to demolition in the early 1980s. It was bought for £1 by a trust set up by SAVE Britain's Heritage and restored. It has returned to use as a private residence.

Downs Bank is an area of open countryside, located two miles (3 km) north of the town of Stone in Staffordshire, and four miles (6 km) south of the city of Stoke-on-Trent. It is owned and managed by the National Trust. The property is also known as 'Barlaston Downs' .
