Sampford Peverell

Sampford Peverell is a village in Mid-Devon, England. Its name reflects its inclusion in the Honour of Peverel, the lands of William Peverel and his family. His great-grandson, Hugh Peverell (the name had changed spelling), is buried in the village church of St John the Baptist. The two rectories were built in 1836, at the expense of the Grand Western Canal Company, in compensation for cutting through the grounds and demolishing the south wing of the Old Rectory.

Holbrook Garden

Holbrook Garden is a one hectare garden outside Sampford Peverell, Tiverton, Devon, with experimental naturalistic plantings creating differing habitats. The plantings draw on the German approach to naturalism but strongly influenced by wild plant populations and species. It is considered by the garden writer Noel Kingsbury to be, "One of the best examples of ‘New Perennial’ planting in Britain". The garden holds the UK national collection of the genus Helenium.

Uffculme is a village located in the Mid Devon district, of Devon, England. Situated in the Blackdown Hills on the B3440, close to the M5 motorway, near Cullompton Uffculme is on the upper reaches of the River Culm. The 2001 census indicated the population at 2631.

Willand

Willand is a village in Mid-Devon, England, within the Mid-Devon local authority area. It is about 19 km north of Exeter and (1.5 miles) north of Cullompton. In 1991 the population was 3750 although recently this has grown considerably. The National Grid reference for the centre of the area is ST037110. Willand has probably had a settlement since the Iron Age but is first recorded in 1042 as having "belonged to Ethmar". It historically formed part of the Halberton Hundred.
