Scartho Top

Scartho Top is a development of houses in the south Grimsby area of North East Lincolnshire, England. The idea for such a development appeared in the Grimsby local plan towards the end of the 1960s, although construction did not start until the mid 1990s, The aim is to eventually build 2,100 houses in an area of 169 acres, with a population of 7,000. A further 40-plus acres has been designated as open space.

Peaks Parkway

The Peaks Parkway is part of the northern end of the A16 road, in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. It was conceived in the 1970s and follows part of the trackbed of the former East Lincolnshire Railway between Grimsby and Louth.

Grimsby Tennis Centre

Grimsby Tennis Centre is a tennis club in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. It was founded by members of the Welholme Methodist Church on grass courts in Welholme Road, Grimsby. In order to protect the membership from personal liability the club was formed into a Limited Company (Company number 00179077) on 16 January 1922. The land in Weelsby Avenue was purchased in April 1922 and so the tennis facility on this site predates the surrounding houses that were built in about 1930.

Weelsby Woods

Weelsby Woods is a large public park in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. With mature trees, woodland, and large grassy areas which are used for recreation. Donated in 1950 to the Borough of Grimsby by the Boston Deep Sea Fishing and Ice Company the land was once the grounds of Weelsby Villa. Victorian maps of the area display a Manor House to one side of the park, and to the other side the Villa Plantation, a Pheasantry and a large pond.
