Ranby, Nottinghamshire
Ranby is a small village in the north of Nottinghamshire, next to the Chesterfield Canal and adjacent to the A1. It is known for its two schools, the prep school Ranby House and the primary school Ranby Primary School, and the nearby church All Saints Babworth. Ranby Prison is located on the A620 to Retford. Kilton, Nottinghamshire
Kilton is a large suburban area located in the North-East of Worksop in Nottinghamshire, consisting of series of large Post-World War II housing estates, some of which are Council Estates. The suburb was since the late Nineteenth Century home to Kilton Hospital, which was, along with Victoria Hospital, located on Memorial Avenue in Worksop, one of the town's main hospitals. The Hospital survived until the late 1980s, at a time when it chiefly dealt with maternity.

Bracebridge, Nottinghamshire
Bracebridge is an undefined area of Worksop in Nottinghamshire, lying between Manton to the south, and Kilton to the north, lying on the Chesterfield Canal and the riverRyton, close to a point where the river is crossed-over by the canal. The area takes its name from the Georgian Bridge, which crosses the canal, which was achieved by "bracing" the stonework with iron, achieving a wide single-span.

Mr Straw's House
Mr Straw's House is situated at number 7 Blyth Grove, Worksop, Nottinghamshire S81 0JG. It is a three-storey house which belonged to the Straw family during the 1920s and 30s. After their parents died, the remaining brothers, William and Walter, remained in the house without changing any of the interior features. The house remained unaltered until the National Trust acquired the house in the 1990s and opened it to the public as a museum of 1920s life.
