Granville, County Tyrone

Granville is a village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, about 2.5 miles (4 km) southwest of Dungannon. Most of the village is within the townland of Derryveen, although some of it extends into Cormullagh (from Cor Mullach meaning "round summit"). The name Granville comes from Thomas Knox, 2nd Earl of Ranfurly who named the village after his son, Granville Henry John Knox, who drowned in the River Tamar in St. Budeaux, Plymouth at the age of 16.

Ballysaggart Lough

Ballysaggart Lough or Black Lough (Irish: Loch Bhaile an tSagairt / Loch Dhubh) is a lough in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is part of the waterway created to service mills in nearby Moygashel. In 2002 a man drowned after getting into difficulties swimming across it. The Ballysaggart Environmental Group was formed in 2004 to protect the unique habitat in and around the Lough.

Castle Caulfield

Castle Caulfield is a large ruined house situated in Castlecaulfield, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The building was three storeys high with attics, many large mullioned windows and tall chimneystacks. A joist from one of the walls was dated using dendrochronology to about 1282 and may belong to this earlier fort. There are substantial remains. The oldest part of the existing building is the gatehouse, which has Tudor-style doorways, murder-holes and gun-loops.

Castlecaulfield

Castlecaulfield is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It lies about 2 miles west of Dungannon and is part of the Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council area. The village is mostly within the townland of Drumreany, although part of it extends into Lismonaghan. It is situated in the historic barony of Dungannon Middle and the civil parish of Donaghmore. It is sometimes called "Caufle" or "Cawfield" by locals and known as Castlecaufield in Ulster-Scots.

Royal School Dungannon

The Royal School is a school located in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It was one of a number of 'free schools' created by James I in 1608 to provide an education to the sons of local merchants and farmers during the plantation of Ulster. Originally setup in Mountjoy near Lough Neagh in 1614, it moved to its present location in 1636. It was founded as a boys school but became coed in 1986 when the school amalgamated with the Dungannon High School for Girls.
