Ardfern

Ardfern is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It lies on the south coast of the Craignish peninsula, facing Loch Craignish. It has a small, close community, and features a church, fire station, primary school, craft centre with a tea room, a village shop, public house (The Galley of Lorne), and yacht centre. http://www. ardfernyacht. co. uk/. It lies between the towns of Oban to the North and Lochgilphead to the South. On the east side of the Craignish Peninsula is Nether Lorne, Argyll.

Craignish

Craignish is a peninsula in Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland. It lies around 25 miles south of Oban, and 20 miles north of Lochgilphead. The peninsula is around 5.5 miles long, and is aligned along a north-east to south-west orientation, in common with much of the landform of coastal Argyll. To the south is Loch Craignish, which contains several small islands. To the north are the Slate Islands, with the island of Shuna closest.

Eilean Rìgh

Eilean Rìgh is an island in the Inner Hebrides of the west coast of Scotland. It lies in Loch Craignish, about 300 m off the Argyll coastline. The name is Gaelic for "King's Island", although which royal is not known.

Craobh Haven

Craobh Haven is a small purpose-built village and sailing port on the west coast of Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is situated on the Craignish peninsula, one mile to the west of the A816, and approximately 22 miles south of Oban. Craobh Haven is between Arduaine and Kilmartin, and around 17 miles north of Lochgilphead. Craobh Haven was built in 1983 as a holiday resort village and marina.

Craignish Castle

Craignish Castle, Adfern, Argyllshire, an old baronial architectural build, rebuilt around 1832. Scottish seat of the Gascoigne family of Parlington Hall, Lotherton and Castle Oliver. Craignish Castle, standing on the peninsula, 2¼ miles from the point, includes a strong old fortalice, which withstood a six weeks' siege by Colkitto, but is mostly a good modern mansion, rebuilt about 1832; its owner, Fred. Chs. Trench-Gascoigne (b. 1814), holds 5591 acres in the shire, valued at £1013 per annum.
