Aviemore (Speyside) railway station

Aviemore (Speyside) railway station was a station in Aviemore, Scotland that closed in July 1998. It was the main terminus on the Strathspey Railway which is still open as a heritage railway and tourist attraction. The station was built in the late 1970s from components from Dalnaspidal, a station on the Highland Main Line closed as part of the Beeching Axe.

Highland Locomotive Company

The Highland Locomotive Company is a subsidiary of the Strathspey Railway Company. The Strathspey Railway Company operate and own most of, the Strathspey Railway, a heritage railway based in the Central Scottish Highlands. The Highland Locomotive Company own three steam locomotives based on the Strathspey Railway. They are: Former British Railways Locomotive Number 46512, a 2-6-0 tender engine with a simple 2 cylinder locomotive.

River Druie

The River Druie is a right bank tributary of the River Spey in northeast Scotland. The Druie tributary, Am Beanaidh emerges from Loch Einich, and flows north through Gleann Einich. To its east, the Allt Drùidh flows northeastwards out of the Lairig Ghru. At their confluence in Rothiemurchus Forest some 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Aviemore, the Druie is born.

The A95 road is a major road of north-east Scotland connecting the A9 road in the Highlands to the A98 road near the coast. It leaves the A9 four miles north of Aviemore.
