David Livingstone Centre

The David Livingstone Centre is a biographical museum in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, dedicated to the life and work of the explorer and missionary David Livingstone. The centre is operated by the National Trust for Scotland and is housed in a category A listed building. It is located in the former mill buildings which once housed 24 families including Livingstone's, and where he was born on 19 March 1813.

Whitehill, Hamilton, Scotland

Whitehill was originally a council-built district of Hamilton, Scotland, though now it is a mix between council and privately owned houses. It is situated in the northern area of Hamilton and is bounded by Blantyre to the west and Burnbank to the south. Flemington, South Lanarkshire

Flemington was a small mining community on the outskirts of Uddingston. It existed from the early 1900s until the late 1930s and was located next to the mainline railway line, just off the road that links Blantyre to Uddingston, near Bothwell Castle. Once the mining ceased the village, like many others, ceased to exist and all that remains are the foundations of the pit houses.

Hamilton Park Racecourse

Hamilton Park Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue in Hamilton, Scotland to the south of Glasgow. It is a flat racing venue, with a season which runs from May to October. Racing has been staged in Hamilton since 1782 and it is now part of Scotland’s great sporting heritage. More than two centuries worth of punters have visited the course wanting to place a bet or simply just enjoy a grand day out at the races.

South Calder Water

The South Calder Water is a river in Scotland. It runs west from the high plateau between Shotts and Fauldhouse, which also produces the River Almond, which flows east into the River Forth. The river is known locally as "The Cawder".
