Mutiny Stones
The Mutiny Stones are a megalithic monument in the Lammermuir Hills, Scotland. Situated on Byrecleugh Rig, the nearest centre of habitation is at Longformacus, some four miles away. The monument is constructed as a long cairn, and is thought to date to the 3rd Millennium BC. The name of the monument is a corruption of the Scots, mittenfu' o stones. This term arose because of a local legend that the devil was passing above and dropped a handful of boulders at the spot.

Watch Water
The Watch Water is a river in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland. It rises in the Lammermuir Hills, around 8 kilometres west of Longformacus, and flows generally eastward to its confluence with the Dye Water, around 700 metres west of Longformacus. The Dye Water flows into the Whiteadder Water, which in turn is a tributary of the River Tweed.

Westruther
Westruther is a village on the B6468, in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, on the lower slopes of the Lammermuir Hills, in the former Berwickshire. The largest town nearby is Gordon. Places nearby include Duns, Greenlaw, the Lammermuir Hills, Longformacus and the Watch Water Reservoir. The ruined kirk dates from 1649 and contains the tombs of the Spottiswoode family. A prominent member of the family was Alicia Ann Spottiswoode a.k.a. Lady John Scott of "Annie Laurie" fame.

Whiteadder Reservoir
Whiteadder Reservoir is a reservoir in East Lothian, Scotland, UK, in the Lammermuir Hills, 11 miles north west of Duns in the Scottish Borders, and five miles (8 km) south east of Garvald. The reservoir was established in the late 1960s. The flooding ceremony was in May 1968. Millknown Farm and Kingside School were flooded.
