River Carron, Wester Ross

Glen Carron redirects here. For the New Zealand football team, see Glen Carron (soccer). River Carron is a west coast river in Wester Ross, in the Highlands of Scotland. The river rises in Ledgowan Forest. It gathers its head-streams through Carron Bog, then enters Loch Scaven and flows out from there. From Achnashellach the river meanders 19 kilometres southwest through the broad strath of Glen Carron and expands at one part into Loch Doule (or Doughaill).

Loch Dùghaill

Loch Dùghaill (also anglicised as Loch Doule or Loch Doughaill) is a loch on the River Carron in Wester Ross, Scotland. The A890 road and the Kyle of Lochalsh Line a branch of the Highland railway both run along its northwest shore. Loch Carron is located 8 km downriver.

Attadale, Scotland

Attadale is a settlement and estate in Wester Ross, in the Highland council area of Scotland. It is on the southern shore of Loch Carron, between the villages of Stromeferry and Strathcarron. It is served by Attadale railway station on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line. The Attadale Estate covers an area of 30,000 acres, extending as far east as Loch Monar. Mountains within the estate include two Munros - Lurg Mhòr and Bidein a' Choire Sheasgaich - as well as one Corbett - Beinn Dronaig.
