Coupar Angus Abbey
Coupar Angus Abbey was a Cistercian monastery near Coupar Angus, in central Scotland, on the boundary between Angus and Gowrie. It was founded on the old royal manor of Coupar in 1161 x 1162 with the patronage of Máel Coluim IV ("Malcolm IV"), King of Scots, by Cistercian monks from Melrose Abbey.

River Ericht
Not to be confused with the River Ericht which flows from Loch Ericht to Loch Rannoch The River Ericht is a river in Perthshire, Scotland formed from the confluence of the rivers Blackwater and Ardle. It runs south for around 10 miles before discharging into the River Isla, and eventually the River Tay. The river cuts through the impressive Craighall Gorge before dissecting the burgh of Blairgowrie and Rattray. The fast running water of the river was once used to power several textile mills.

Cateran Trail
The Cateran Trail is a 103 kilometres circular long distance walking route in central Scotland. The official start and end is at Blairgowrie, Perth and Kinross. The route was established, way-marked and is now maintained by, the Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust. A variety of terrain is covered by the trail including farmland, mountains and forest. The path itself follows old drovers' roads, minor paved roads and farm tracks and can be walked in 4 or 5 days.
