Loch Spey

Loch Spey, a petite freshwater loch located in the Central Highlands fed by small tributaries. This loch is significant because it the headwaters of the powerful River Spey. It is small, only 300 m long by 200 m wide and is shallow with many weed beds. It is located 28.9 km west of Newtonmore and 5 km from Melgarve. Loch Spey is approximately 20 km up from the Spey Dam and 186 km from the North Sea. The loch has native fish, including Trout and Minnows.

Corrieyairack Pass

The Corrieyairack Pass (Scottish Gaelic - Màm Choire Ghearraig) is an 770m (2526 ft) high pass in the Scottish Highlands at grid reference NN417986. It is notable for presence of one of General Wade's military roads, built at the time of the Jacobite Risings in the eighteenth century.

Creag Meagaidh

Creag Meagaidh is a mountain on the northern side of Glen Spean in Scotland. It is a complex mountain, taking the form of a flat summit plateau from which five ridges radiate, and is most famed for the cliffs surrounding the corrie of Coire Ardair on the north-eastern face. These crags are a renowned venue for winter and ice climbing, though being somewhat vegetated they are less suited to "normal" climbing.
