Glasgow Shields Road TMD
Glasgow Shields ETD is a railway Electric Traction Depot in Glasgow, Scotland. The depot is located on the south side of the Glasgow Central to Paisley lines, adjacent to Shields Junction, close to the site of the former Shields Road station. The depot's code is 'GW'. The depot was opened in May 1967 by then Minister of Transport The Right Hon Barbara Castle MP.

Shields Junction
Shields Junction is the name given to the busy railway junction in the Shields Road area of Glasgow, Scotland. The junction is heavily used by both passenger and freight services running on three separate railway lines out of Glasgow Central station. Passenger services operated by First ScotRail run to Paisley Canal, Ayr, Largs, Ardrossan, Gourock and Wemyss Bay as well as the less frequent Stranraer service.

Kinning Park subway station
Kinning Park subway station serves the Kinning Park area of Glasgow, Scotland. However, to reach Kinning Park, a footbridge is provided across the M8. It was opened in 1896 and comprehensively modernised in 1977-1980. The station retains its original island platform configuration. Kinning Park station is the shallowest of the Subway system. The station is lightly used and recorded only 240,000 boardings in the 12 months ending March 2005.

Scotland Street School Museum
Scotland Street School Museum is a museum of school education in Glasgow, Scotland, in the district of Tradeston. It is located in a former school built by Charles Rennie Mackintosh between 1903 and 1906. The building is one of Glasgow's foremost architectural attractions. It is located next to the Shields Road subway station. During the building's construction, Mackintosh frequently battled the school board about the design (the board wanted a less expensive design).

M77 motorway
The M77 motorway is a motorway in Scotland. It begins in Glasgow at the M8 motorway at Kinning Park, and terminates near Kilmarnock at Fenwick. Changes were made in 2005 segregating a lane on the M8 motorway almost as far as the Kingston Bridge, which in January 2006 was extended further onto the bridge itself. It forms the most northerly part of the A77 trunk road which links Glasgow to Stranraer in the South West of Scotland. (The A77 itself continues to Portpatrick in the Rhins of Galloway.)
