The Ruthwell Cross is a stone Anglo-Saxon cross probably dating from the 8th century, when Ruthwell was part of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Northumbria; it is now in Scotland. Comlongon Castle is a tower house dating from the 15th century. It is located 1 km west of the village of Clarencefield, 10 km south-east of Dumfries, in south west Scotland.
