Glyndŵr

Glyndŵr was one of six districts of Clwyd between 1974 and 1996. It was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, from parts of the administrative counties of Denbighshire and Merionethshire. From Denbighshire came the boroughs of Denbigh, Llangollen and Ruthin, the rural districts of Ceiriog and Ruthin and the parishes of Llangollen Rural and Llantysilio, formerly in Wrexham Rural District. From Merionethshire came the Edeyrnion Rural District.

Glanrafon is a small village near Corwen in Gwynedd, North Wales and is situated on the A494. The village is on the boundary of Gwynedd and Denbighshire. Corwen railway station

Corwen railway station in Denbighshire, Wales, was formerly a station on the Ruabon to Barmouth line. The first station to open was a temporary station at the east of the town when the line from Denbigh opened in October 1864. A permanent station was opened by the Great Western Railway in May 1865. It was to have closed to passengers on Monday 18 January 1965 but closed prematurely on 14 December 1964 due to flood damage.

Ysgol Maes Hyfryd

Ysgol Maes Hyfryd is a Welsh medium primary school 3 miles from the market town of Corwen in the county of Denbighshire, North Wales. It has around 83 pupils on roll. The Headteacher is Mrs Eirian Owain who also teaches year 1 & 2, Miss Edwards who teaches year 5&6, Mr Davies year 3&4 and Miss Rowlands Nusery and reception. Most pupils will opt for Ysgol y Berwyn, Bala, Gwynedd at the end of their schooling but can also opt for Ysgol Dinas Bran or Ysgol Bryn Hyfryd, Rhuthun.
