Pyle railway station is a minor station in Pyle in Bridgend county borough, South Wales. The station is located at street level at Beach Road in Pyle. It is a stop on the South Wales Main Line, served by the Arriva Trains Wales Swanline Swansea to Cardiff Central regional train. Tir Iarll

Tir Iarll (meaning "Earl's Land" in English), is the traditional name of an area of Glamorgan, Wales, which has long had a particular resonance in Welsh culture. In medieval times Tir Iarll was a cwmwd covering the present-day parishes of Llangynwyd, Betws, Cynffig and Margam. It long preserved traditional customs, notably the Mari Lwyd or Grey Mare. The late medieval Welsh poets Rhys Brydydd, his son Rhisiart ap Rhys and brother (or son) Gwilym Tew all came from Tir Iarll.

Garw Valley Railway

The Garw Valley Railway (formerly Bridgend Valleys Railway) is a standard gauge heritage railway located in South Wales. It is hoped that, in the near future, there will be brakevan rides between Pontycymer and Pant-y-Gog, a distance of about half-a-mile. The line was formerly used for freight and passenger services, and the track is still in place between Brynmenyn and Pontycymer. On 4 March 2006, the Society changed its name from Bridgend Valleys Railway to Garw Valley Railway.

Wales Evangelical School of Theology

The Wales Evangelical School of Theology (formerly the Evangelical Theological College of Wales) is a Reformed Christian educational institution located in Bryntirion in Bridgend, South Wales. Its doctrinal position is conservative evangelical. Founded in 1936 as the Barry School of Evangelism (1936–1950) (also called Barry Bible College), was called South Wales Bible College (1950–1985), and then the Evangelical Theological College of Wales (1985–2006).
